This New York Fashion week was more than I could ask for. I was not only able to attend a few NYFW shows but I was able to attend an event that was put on by Colgate and Family Dollar. Myself and a few other bloggers were able to visit a newly opened Family Dollar store located in New York. We had so much fun at the new store, and learned so much about Family Dollar that we did not know. I was able to find hair color for ONLY $7.00 (p.s this is a steal). Also Shea moister products for ONLY $5.00 ( another steal). Finding these products for such low prices were definitely a big highlight for me. For those of you who have natural hair and aren't looking to spend an arm and a leg, please give family dollar a visit, trust me you won't regret it!

After the family dollar visit we went to an amazing spa place called "Harlem Skin & Laser Clinic" where we were able to learn a few beauty tips from celebrity makeup artist AJ Crimson , and fashion tips from celebrity stylist Anastasia Nicole . We also were able to mingle and hear a few wise words from the amazing Claire Sulmers, the owner of Fashion Bomb Daily. (P.S I was featured for the second time on FB- too cool right?)

let's fast forward to the good stuff! So.. to play nice, I'll share 1 tip that I learn from each expert. One amazing beauty tip that AJ Cimson shared with us was that we can use eye shadow to make nail polish. Yes! You read correctly (small laugh) eye shadow into nail polish. The secrete is to mix clear nail polish with any eye shadow of your choice. Once you've mixed these two products together, you've got your next favorite nail polish color. As for fashion, the best tip that I took away from Anastasia was to use a hood makeup protector for face coverage when getting ready. Who knew that this was a thing? I surely did not. This product will help avoid getting make up on your clothes. We've all had those days when we mistakenly get makeup on our clothes while we are putting our outfits on to head out.

Our last visit was to the Harlem Fashion Row pop up shop. It was so amazing to see so many talented designers of color all in one place. They were selling everything from, shoes to hand made jackets. I was so amazed by the energy and the talent. I feel so blessed to have been invited to such a great event.
